Today has started the “Operativo de Limpieza” in Las Terrenas with the visit of Tourism MInister Francisco Javier Garcia which is impulsing Las Terrenas area as never was done before. Completing streets as El Pueblo de Los Pescadores and main roads in this tourist spot. It is obvious that something is happening in terms of taking care of the enviroment and making things look good.
From Samana Land we would like to thank the effort of Francisco Javier’s Office and also the efforts of individuals cleanning the area so we can have what we have always said. The best beaches of the country! Thanks!
When we say Las Terrenas and the Peninsula of Samana is experiencing a considerable change during the last years we also have to mention the article on the sunday Dominican newspaper Listin Diario which talks about The Peninsula House, a “Guest House” located in the almost virgin Coson Beach in Las Terrenas.
The magazine dedicates it´s cover to Thomas Stamm, one of the owners of the superb Victorian House style (designed by the french architect Serge Robin), located in a magnificent “Loma” (mountain) with breathtaking views over the Coson beach, palm trees and sea.
The Peninsula House attracts international guests as well as wealthy Dominicans looking for the privilege of the tranquility sourrunded by beauty, nature, art and little details.
