When we say Las Terrenas and the Peninsula of Samana is experiencing a considerable change during the last years we also have to mention the article on the sunday Dominican newspaper Listin Diario which talks about The Peninsula House, a “Guest House” located in the almost virgin Coson Beach in Las Terrenas.
The magazine dedicates it´s cover to Thomas Stamm, one of the owners of the superb Victorian House style (designed by the french architect Serge Robin), located in a magnificent “Loma” (mountain) with breathtaking views over the Coson beach, palm trees and sea.
The Peninsula House attracts international guests as well as wealthy Dominicans looking for the privilege of the tranquility sourrunded by beauty, nature, art and little details.
Yesterday the new minister of tourism of Dominican Republic, Francisco Javier Garcia in a public act held at the Hotel Alligio in Las Terrenas, promised a “Radical Change” for the whole area. Also announced the compromise from his office of giving to Las Terrenas what this area has been waiting for during years: Infrastructures
Also he mentioned the end of resolution 2/2008 imposed by Felix Jimenez in which all real estate projects were banned between El Catey International Airport and the Bahia Principe Portillo Hotel. In less than 15 days this resolution will be changed, Tourism Minister said.
